DISC Based Behavioral Assessments
Our program uses the TTI Style Analysis Instrument®
which
is based on the work
of Dr. William Moulton Marston (1893 – 1947). Dr.
Marston was born in
Massachusetts and received
his B.A., L.L.B., and Ph.D. from
Harvard
University.
Marston was an attorney, psychologist, and also created the
early form of the "lie detector".
In 1928, Marston published his book, "Emotions of Normal
People", which became a basis for the DISC model. DISC is
the universal language of observable behavior. Marston was
committed to the belief that people behave according to four
factors:
-
Dominance
– response to problems and challenges
-
Influence
– influencing others to your point of view
-
Steadiness
– response to the pace of the environment
-
Compliance
– response to rules and procedures set by others
